The Water Gardens in the Nations Park are located between the Camões Theatre and the Oceanarium, off the Alameda dos Oceanos. There are six parts running west to east, the Palm Garden, the Mediterranean Orchard, Ulisses Lake, the Cascade, the Hydraulic Garden and the Wave Garden. The latter is formed of undulating lawns to simulate the rhythm of the ocean. Designed to be used by children, the artificial Ulisses Lake, with its sequential changes, and the Cascade are particular delights. The trees are also of interest, some about 100 years old.
