The Visionarium, opened in 1999, is a scientific centre located in Europark on the west side of Santa Maria da Feira, a delight for children and adults alike. You can enjoy a multimedia show and experience the Age of Discoveries and the adventures of Henry, the Navigator, Vasco da Gama and Ferdinand Magellan. Explore the subjects of earth, matter, the universe, life and information or participate in scientific experiments in the laboratories. Then there are extensive gardens where you can see a water mill in operation or step on a model of the solar system. The latest technology is used throughout.
