The Vinha da Areia Beach is found next to marina and Water Park in Vila Franca do Campo. The beach is excellent for bathing and is equipped with all the facilities visitors could need. Although not a large beach, it is blessed with fine sand and is about 320 metres in length. It is supervised during the bathing season and has safe bathing for the family. Parking is available. Being close to the harbour and to the fishing port, this is a lovely place to view the various boats while soaking up the local ambiance.
