The Vimeiro Golf Course, which is located 21 km northwest of Torres Vedras, is renowned for its greens and takes full advantage of the Alcabrichel River which crosses the course. Designed by Frank Pennink and inaugurated in 1963, the 9 holes measure 2,350 metres and have a par rating of 34; there are 18 tees. Facilities include a driving range, putting green and pro shop. Manual trolleys and clubs can be hired, there are no caddies. The course is attached to a hotel which has a variety of bars, restaurants, swimming pools and other amenities.
