Tram 28 travels from the city centre to the famous St George’s Castle overlooking the Tagus River and can be boarded near the statue of Luis de Camões. Travelling through some of the most interesting and historic parts of the city, it takes you on a 45 minute trip, which is as popular with the locals as with visitors. These yellow trams have been travelling this route for over 100 years since being imported from the United States. In June Fado singers may accompany travellers on the route, but whatever the month, do not miss this experience.
