Located approximately 50 km southeast of Viseu is the town of Seia, which has a very interesting museum dedicated to toys. It has a collection of more than 4,500 toys, not only from Portugal, but from all over the world. It covers all ages of children and has both historic and contemporary toys. The museum aims to preserve memories of childhood and contribute through toys to the development of children. There are a number of themed rooms, a library, auditorium and workshop.
