Located on the coast between the Ria de Aveiro estuary and the sea, Torreira beach is part of a 25 km stretch of unbroken sand; great for walkers. The beach is flanked by dunes. The open sea has good waves for surfing and body boarding, whilst the estuary provides the right conditions for windsurfing and sailing. This is an EEC blue flag beach, lifeguards are on duty in season and there are facilities for the disabled. Parking is available and the average seawater temperature in summer is 16 ºC. Umbrellas can be hired and there are bars, cafes and restaurants.
