In addition to the attractions separately listed, there are others worthy of note. An interesting walk will take you from the 15th century Ponte Velha Bridge, next to the Santa Iria chapel, on to the pleasant Mouchão Park on an island in the river, with what is said to be a Roman water-wheel. Further north is the 16th century octagonal São Gregório chapel, which has an interesting Manueline portal and then up the Escadinhas do Senhora da Piedade, a long stairway which leads to the chapel of the same name.
