In spite of becoming a popular resort in recent times, Tocha has retained its identity as a small fishing village. Its beach has examples of the traditional fishermen’s huts, now converted into attractive holiday homes. The extensive beach is protected by dunes and the powerful waves provide excellent surfing and body boarding conditions. Also used for football, the beach has EEC blue flag status, lifeguards on duty in season and facilities for the disabled. The average seawater temperature in summer is 16 ºC, parking is available, umbrellas can be hired and there are bars, cafes and restaurants.
