This is the oldest of the Vilamoura courses, opened in 1969, it is an 18 hole, par 73 course of 6,254 metres. Course designer Frank Pennink wanted to create something reminiscent of the challenging inland British courses. He achieved that perfectly, as this is considered to be one of the best in the country, enjoying an excellent international reputation. In 1979 it hosted the Portuguese Open and has also held the World Ladies Am Team Championship. Facilities: Club House, Bar, Restaurant, Pro-Shop, Buggy bar on the course, Putting Green, Chipping area, Driving Range, Lessons, Trolleys, Buggies, Individual and Group lessons.
