Located at the junction of Rua do Sol and Rua São Luis, the church is named after the patron saints and protectors of the guild of tailors São Bom Homen and Nossa Senhora de Agosto. Construction started in 1554, was taken over in 1565, and completed by master stonemason Manuel Luis. It was declared a national monument in 1927 and later restored and rebuilt on the present site. The façade is distinguished by a large lattice window and a niche housing a terracotta statue of Nossa Senhora de Agosto by Manuel Luis. The altarpiece is one of many notable internal features.
