Located in the northern part of Figueira da Foz, the São Pedro church was rebuilt after the original was destroyed by the great earthquake of 1755. Although reconstruction in Rococo style started in 1766, it was only completed at the end of the century. The interesting features of this church are in the chapels. There is a 16th century stone altar, which came from a ruin, in the Santa Cruz chapel and the Baptism chapel has a 17th century altar and tiling and an unusual womb shaped font. The Santíssimo Sacramento chapel is from the 19th/20th centuries.
