Close to Ribamar and approximately 7 km north of Ericeira, is São Lourenço Beach which lies in a sheltered bay and is famous for its bars and restaurants specialising in fresh fish and shellfish. With a well developed infrastructure, it is also renowned for its surfing and body boarding conditions. This is an EEC blue flag status beach with lifeguards on duty in season and an average summer seawater temperature of 17-18 ºC. There are facilities for the disabled, umbrellas can be hired and parking is available.
