Located about 8.5 kilometres south of Ericeira, São Julião Beach is protected by high cliffs and stretches south to Praia da Vigia, ideal for long walks along the shore. As well as diving, the strong waves create good conditions for surfing and body boarding. The beach has EEC blue flag status, lifeguards are on duty in season and the average summer seawater temperature is 17-18 ºC. There are facilities for the disabled, bars and restaurants and parking is available.
