Located at Tojal, close to Sátão and approximately 22 km northeast of Viseu, the Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Oliva is all that remains of a former Dominican Convent founded in 1633. The walls of the main chapel are most interesting, featuring multi-coloured azulejo tile panels, which imitate a 16th century tapestry. Dedicated to St John, the decorated carved high altar panel is from the 1730s. Amongst the sculptures are two from the 17th century, depicting Nossa Senhora da Oliva and Nossa Senhora do Rosário.
