The delightful small chapel of Senhor das Barrocas was started in 1722 and is one of the most interesting monuments in Aveiro; its shape, with an octagonal nave and rectangular chancel, adds to its appeal. There are three attractive portals and the decoration above the main entrance is particularly sumptuous. Inside, the two carved retables frame paintings by Pedro Alexandrino, one a nativity scene and the other is the Annunciation. There are also two paintings by André Gonçalves and two canopied pulpits.
