The Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcântara is a small tranquil garden, with a panoramic view to the north and east considered to be one of the best in Lisbon. A tile map marks all the distinctive buildings, and the lower geometric garden contains busts of Minerva and Ulysses and other gods from Greco-Roman mythology. The most interesting way to get to this garden is via the Gloria Elevator which has been operating from Restauradores Square and Bairro Alto since 1885.
