Salto do Cavalo is a belvedere offering an excellent panorama over the municipality of Povoação and part of the municipality of Nordeste as well as the sea. This viewpoint, at an altitude of 805 metres, is a fabulous place to go on a clear day. This is one of viewpoints that really shouldn’t be missed as everyone who makes it up here is rewarded with splendid views across the interior of the island and its north and south coasts, revealing rural landscapes of stunning beauty.
