Next to the Lavadores beach with fine white sands and occasional rock outcrops, Salgueiros Beach has undergone a series of improvements for the benefit of visitors. There are strong waves creating good conditions for surfing. An EEC blue flag beach, it has lifeguards on duty in season and an average summer seawater temperature of 16 ºC. Parking is available and there are restaurants, bars and facilities for the disabled. Apart from surfing, the beach is suitable for body boarding and diving. Umbrellas can be hired.
