Árvore beach is between the beaches of Azurara to the north and Mindelo to the south, the entrance is adjacent to a campsite. At the southern end of this long stretch of sand lies the Mindelo Ornithological Reserve, which is a nesting area for many bird species. It is protected by dunes and virtually inaccessible. The beach benefits from a good supporting infrastructure. Lifeguards are on duty in season, parking is available and there are facilities for the disabled. The average summer seawater temperature is 16 șC, there are restaurants and bars and umbrellas can be hired.
