Ribeirinha is a typical small Azorean village close to Angra do Heroismo. The pretty village is home to the Church of São Pedro, a 16th century building that was expanded in the 18th century. The high altar is of beautiful gilded, carved woodwork and there is a 16th century image of Christ. The village contains four imperios of the Holy Ghost, three of which date from the l9th century. In the area of "Serra da Ribeirinha" you will find an excellent viewpoint over the surrounding countryside.
