Glazed earthenware is a traditional local product and the company of Raúl da Bernarda and Sons, established in 1875 by José dos Reis, is the oldest factory in Alcobaca. At the Museum you can not only learn about the manufacture of quality glazed earthenware, but also see more than 100 products covering the period from the late 19th century to date. Most exhibits belong to the family, the present generation is the fifth, and range from traditional blue and white pieces to the beautiful multi-coloured contemporary designs. There is a shop at the museum.
