Pulo do Lobo (Wolf’s Leap) is a waterfall located in a very narrow gorge of the River Guadiana. Legend says only a brave man or a wild animal could leap over this gorge. Pulo do Lobo can be reached from the village of Amendoeira, or via the village of Vale de Poços. Both routes are clearly marked with viewpoints at the end of the tracks. Further on, you can see Pego dos Sáveis, where the river forms a peaceful-looking lake. If visiting the area on foot care should be taken, especially if you have children with you, for the terrain is very uneven.
