Prainha consists of a series of small, sheltered and sandy beaches, separated from one another by irregularly sculpted rock formations. They each have many arches, caves and potholes. The coves an ideal place for diving. To the east is Ponta João d´Arens, an excellent place for bird spotting. There is a possibility of stones falling from the cliffs, so that care should be taken when walking close to them. To reach the beach, you pass through a tourist development built and then walk down some steps carved out of the cliff face. The beach is supervised during the bathing season.
