Praia Nova is west of the Capela de Nossa Senhora da Rocha, a chapel built on a narrow promontory affording a magnificent panoramic view over the different coastal landscapes. The beach is reached via a set of fairly steep steps from the cliff top, or else by a tunnel which passes through the rocky headland of Senhora da Rocha, over a distance of roughly 60 metres. The beach of Praia da Senhora da Rocha has facilities such as restaurants and bars. There is a large parking area near the beach, which is not supervised.
