From the cliffs at the top of Três Castelos there is an outstanding panorama of the sculpted rock formations and the beach below is reached via a set of steps from this viewing point. Golden sand and calm blue sea best characterise the Três Castelos Beach. It is connected to Praia da Rocha by a passageway carved through the rocks. This is an EEC Blue Flag beach, which is supervised during the bathing season, with average summer seawater temperatures of 20-23 ºC. There is an organised parking area near the beach, which has a restaurant and toilets.
