The beach is within the picturesque village of Olhos d´Água, which gets its name from the freshwater springs at the eastern end of the beach. At low tide, it is very easy to spot them bubbling up through the sand. There is a central square with outdoor cafés and restaurants, as well as a small promenade along the seafront, lined with palm-trees. This pretty EEC Blue Flag beach has average summer seawater temperatures of 20-23 ºC. With facilities for disabled, sunshade rental, showers and restaurants, this is one of the best beaches in the Albufeira region.
