This beach is very small and protected by rock formations that provide sheltered and calm water for swimming. Tunnels, dug by hand out of the cliffs, join the Praia dos Estudantes to neighbouring beaches. The one to the west gives access to a tiny beach and the one to the east connects Praia dos Estudantes to Praia da Batata. The beach can be reached either on foot or along a tarmac road from Avenida dos Descobrimentos. There is parking near the beach and a restaurant on the cliff top, but the beach is not supervised.
