Praia dos Aivados is an extremely long sandy beach of great natural beauty. Part of the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park, the surrounding area contains a diverse range of flora that includes a number of species unique to this location. The beach is rarely crowded. The size of the waves encourages surfers to visit and the beach frequently hosts surfing events and competitions. The average seawater temperature in summer is 17-18ºC and, in addition to being popular with surfers, this beach attracts body boarders. Parking is available.
