Peneco or Túnel Beach is part of a stunning stretch of sand running the length of Albufeira. There is a beautiful promenade giving views over the city. The promenade ends at the pretty Xorino Grotto, believed to have been used as a safe haven by Moors following the Christian conquest of Albufeira in the 13th century. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. This beach has all the facilities anyone could need including facilities for disabled, sunshade rental, showers, restaurants, parking and small craft hire.
