Praia do Pego is blessed with gentle seas, spacious sands and white dunes. It is the perfect picture of tranquillity. Pego Beach is reached via the same road that serves Carvalhal Beach, but has its own facilities and restaurant. The beach is an EEC Blue Flag area, with average summer seawater temperature of 17-19 ºC. It is a favourite of sports fishermen and often hosts competitions and championships. With facilities for disabled visitors and easy access parking, this beach, which is supervised during the bathing season, has much to recommend it.
