Surrounded by golden cliffs covered in aromatic vegetation, Manuel Lourenço beach is accessed from Galé. The air is rich with the fragrance of thyme and helichrysum and the sea is perfect for snorkelling through the submerged rocks. At low tide, it is possible to see a variety of marine life in various rock pools. The beach, which is supervised during the bathing season, has showers, restaurants, parking and facilities for disabled. It is an EEC Blue Flag beach with average summer seawater temperature of 20-23 ºC. Sunshades are available for hire.
