The beach stands at the mouth of one of the most beautiful valleys in the region. The sandy beach is formed by dunes to the west and spreads inland up the gully, where it mixes with the shingle, which is used by bathers to build small stone windbreaks. At both ends of the beach are limestone cliffs and nearby are the ruins of a 17th-century fortress. There is parking, but the beach has no support facilities or supervision. It is well known among divers, due to the great diversity of marine life living in among the rocks scattered across the seabed.
