This beach is situated at the western end of the Ria Formosa lagoon system, within the confines of the Natural Park. The beach’s support facilities are carefully integrated into the landscape, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area and yet still have all amenities near by. Visitors are asked to keep to the wooden footpaths in order to protect the sand dunes. There is a large parking area near the beach, restaurants, bars and toilets are available and the beach is supervised during the bathing season.
