The Praia de Vilamoura is situated between the Vilamoura Marina and the town of Quarteira. Vilamoura emerged in the 1970s as Europe’s largest tourist complex and the beach lives up to the town’s reputation. The sands have easy access from the adjoining road. The beach ends at the Marina, which is the area’s main centre of attraction and home to some of the best restaurants, bars and stores to be found in the Algarve. There is a large parking area, restaurants, facilities for disabled, sunshade rental, showers, windsurfing, sailing, small craft hire and the beach is an EEC Blue Flag.
