This beach is well served with tourist facilities. Situated in a valley, with a vast expanse of sand framed by high cliffs at either end, it is truly beautiful. The viewing point of Miradouro da Atalaia at the top of the cliff gives a clear view of the coastline all the way to Sagres. Although close to Lagos, the beach has some very quiet areas. There is parking near the beach, which has restaurants and bars, pedalos and umbrellas for hire and facilities for disabled. The beach is supervised during the bathing season and is ideal for a variety of water sports.
