Situated on the mouth of the Seixe River, the small village of Odeceixe overlooks a stunning expanse of unspoilt coast. The river itself is good for boating and canoeing excursions, and the beach gives access to both sea and river swimming. At low tide the large sandy surface becomes a lagoon-filled paradise, ideal for children. This is one of the best known beaches in the region. It is an EEC Blue Flag beach with average seawater temperature in summer of 17-18 ºC. Offering facilities for disabled, parking, restaurant, showers and toilets, the beach is perfect for everyone.
