This beach, to the east of Praia do Barril, is also known as Praia de Santa Luzia, as it is from this picturesque fishing village that the boats set off to cross to the island. The beach here is more deserted than at the neighbouring beaches of Praia do Barril or Ilha de Tavira, and is very peaceful. Santa Luzia has a beautiful avenue along the waterfront with a variety of restaurants and bars. The beach has a restaurant and toilets and is supervised during the bathing season.
