This beach, very popular with surfers, gets its name (Red Headland) from an enormous ochre rock formation at the southern end. Near to this rock a wave forms that is famous in the surfing world. The footpath to the beach is down a relatively difficult trail at one of the more gently sloping points of the cliff. It is a very peaceful and unspoilt beach. The track leading to the beach is difficult and only recommended for off-road vehicles. There is a small parking area, but the beach has no support facilities or supervision.
