Praia da Nossa Senhora is in the heart of the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It is peaceful with fine, golden sand and is sheltered from the prevailing winds by a tall cliff. Car parking is on top of one of these cliffs and the beach is reached by means of a steeply descending stairway, so is not suitable for disabled visitors. The beach contains a number of isolated coves, which are often used by naturists. The beach is not supervised and the average seawater temperature in summer is17-18 ºC.
