The Ilha do Pessegueiro beach faces the island from which it takes its name. Throughout summer, various types of boats are available for visiting the island, crossing the short stretch of water that was once used by Roman and Carthaginian vessels. Nowadays, it offers the perfect conditions for nautical sports such as windsurfing, canoeing and diving. This is an EEC Blue Flag beach with an average seawater temperature in summer of 17-18ºC. It has restaurants, bars, parking, facilities for disabled visitors, showers, is suitable for windsurfing, has small craft for hire and is supervised during the bathing season.
