The beach is situated at the eastern end of the Ilha da Armona, opposite the fishing village of Fuseta. It is possible to swim or ford your way across from Fuseta when the tide is very low, but the usual method of access is by boat with one of the regular services from the quay in Fuseta. The spit of sand that forms the beach is narrow, but very attractive. There is a large parking area close to the quay (except on market days). The beach has restaurants, toilets, pedalos for hire and is supervised during the bathing season.
