The Fonte do Cortiço Beach is one of the most attractive in the region. It is a huge expanse of sand flanked by dunes. The beach provides long, wonderful strolls along the shore or on footpaths that start from here and take you to the Sancha Lagoon, a Nature Reserve with a diverse range of fauna and flora. The beach is supervised in summer and has an average seawater temperature in summer of 17-18 ºC. With good parking, facilities for disabled visitors, showers, bars and restaurants, this is a wonderful place for all the family.
