This beach stretches eastwards over more than three kilometres, framed by a continuous line of ochre and white cliffs. At the Albufeira end the cliff is very soft and it has been deeply etched by erosion. Eye-catching and brightly-coloured species of plants brighten the sand near the cliffs. The beach, which has some very peaceful areas, is reached by a set of wooden steps and a wooden ramp, both at the western and eastern ends. There is parking at both ends of the beach next to the access points. The beach has restaurants and toilets and is supervised during the bathing season.
