Established in 1940, and the work of architect Cassiano Branco, this theme park is a delight for children and, with its garden setting, a pleasure for adults as well. The miniatures cover many of Portugal’s most important buildings, together with typical houses from each part of the country. The former colonies are not forgotten and have their own fascinating section just inside the entrance. As has been so aptly said: ‘You’ll feel like Gulliver strolling through a Lilliputian world’.
