Part of the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park, Porto Covo was a small fishing village that prospered during the 20th century while holding onto all the quiet charm of an Alentejo town. Its rows of immaculately whitewashed houses are a beautiful backdrop against which the sea provides a pleasing contrast. It has a quaint and well used fishing harbour and the pedestrian area, with terrace cafés and craft shops, reinforces the charming ambiance of this pretty town.
