Located 2 km south of the town, the Ponte de Lima Golf Course is heavily wooded and mountainous with some magnificent views; it also has Portugal’s longest hole, the 622 metre par 5 third. The course was opened in 1995 and designed by David and Daniel Silva; it has a par rating of 71 and measures 6,005 metres. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping area, pro shop, restaurant and bar. Buggies, hand trolleys and clubs can be hired, there are no caddies. There are further amenities in the nearby hotel.
