The Hermitage of Our Lady of the Foot of the Cross (Nossa Senhora do Pé da Cruz) was built in the 17th century, but has been altered several times since. The chapel has a carved and gilded retable on the main altar and 17th century patterned tiles on the walls. The tombstone of the couple who founded the chapel is on show. At the beginning of May each year a festival dating back centuries, the Festa da Pinha or Pine Cone festival, is held in the churchyard.
