The Capela de Nossa Senhora da Consolação (Our Lady of Consolation Chapel) is an absolute gem in a town full of architectural jewels. The abundance of 17th century polychrome tiles (azulejos) alone makes the church worthy of a visit, but add to that the retable in the main chapel, illuminated with 16th and 17th century paintings, and it becomes a must see item. A beautiful statue of Our Lady of Consolation makes up the patrimony of this Chapel.
