Ofir Beach lies to the south of the Cávado river mouth, about 4 km south of Esposende, it is part of the Litoral de Esposende Protected Landscape. The rocks exposed at low tide are known locally as the horses of Fão. The beach is suitable for surfing, windsurfing, body boarding, diving and sailing and is used for volleyball and football. This is an EEC blue flag beach with lifeguards on duty in season and facilities for the disabled. The average seawater temperature in summer is 15-17 ºC. Parking is available, umbrellas and small craft can be hired, and there are bars, cafes and restaurants.
